Who said August was cool??

Who said August was cool??

117Wanna know how to beat this Texas summer heat?  Because I am not a huge fan of 100 degree weather, I dug up some solutions that will keep you and your pet feeling cool.  The first step is to shop at Healthy Pet because we blast the AC all day long.  A few other things my buddy Trevor told me about include this super Cool Collar (which I am modeling above).  You fill it with ice cubes and as they melt, it drips down your pup's chest, cooling down their entire body.  If your pup is hot inside and you don't want water dripping on the floor, the store carries some pretty sweet cooling mats and beds that also help regulate your pet's body temperature.  The last thing he told me about that even surprised me ( I know, I'm a dog... I should know more about myself than Trevor does)  was to eat proteins that are cooling such as duck, rabbit and white fish. These will help keep me cool in the summer heat, then I can switch back to my neutral or warming proteins once the fall rolls in. I am just glad I got this guy looking out for me because I do not do well in the heat (but living in Austin is worth every second!).  Stay cool, my friends!
