I am so grateful to all of you who have stopped at the store to pet me, toss me a treat or snap a picture of me (I am beginning to feel like a celebrity!) over the past five month's. Sorry if my snorting scares you. I've been working on controlling it with my pal Trevor. I wanted to wish everyone a happy, peaceful and safe Thanksgiving. Lord knows I love to eat. With Turkey Day coming up, I wanted to give you some tips I've learned from experience on how to keep my fellow pet friends safe from overeating this Thanksgiving. With good smells overwhelming the whole house, I will beg you, relentlessly, for some delicious human food, but try not to give me too many leftovers. Too much will upset my stomach and give me bad indigestion and gas (which probably means you'll lose your appetite). If you want to include your pet in the holiday festivities (we thank you!), you can put a little bit of boneless cooked turkey and sweet potatoes in a Kong with my kibble. Trevor has done this for several years, and it makes me feel like I can enjoy Thanksgiving dinner with the family, but it also makes me thankful that I won't feel sick at the end of the night.
